Grey Rock Golf and Tennis

Located a few minutes south of the business center of Austin city, Grey Rock Golf and Tennis, with its twists, turns, and loveliness, is regarded as one of the best public plays of the city. Formerly called Circle C Golf Club, this tennis facility and golf club opened in 1992. The golf course was designed by Jay Morrish with four sets of tees, playing from 5, 215 to 6, 909 yards. Mostly it is a flat, comprehensive open layout with kind fairways lined by live oak trees.

There is water on some bunkers, holes, and greens with lots of character and undulation. The front nine is relatively simple, while the nine holes at the back are typically doglegs. 

As a matter of fact, the eleventh is a double dogleg par five which plays 512 yards from the tips. The fourteenth is a par five, too, and is virtually 600 yards. The last holes have water, such as the 17th par three, which plays around 200 yards from the rear tees.

  • Clubhouse

The exceptional, two-story clubhouses were made to blend into the natural loveliness of its environment, overlooking the eighteenth hole as well as the serene lake. The building was made of native limestone tucked into the wood of old oak trees with a welcoming front porch and two big fireplaces, providing the clubhouse with a relaxing, cozy atmosphere. The 4,000 sq ft clubhouse encompasses the Putters Grill and Pro Shop; nestled near the clubhouse, boosting its charm, is the remarkable Biergarten.

  • Tennis Club

As stated above, Grey Rock Gold Club is semi-private and serves as a tennis club between golf airways. Also, there is a superb facility to practice your golf skills, which considers the Open Range that enables players to practice in the evening with TrackMan feedback and simulate playing other courses. Also, there is a golf academy for lessons, a short game area, and a practice putting green.

The tennis facility at Grey Rock Tennis Club provides 8-lighted modern and state-of-the-art Plexi-Cushion courts to alleviate the impacts of competitive tennis.   • GREY ROCK GRILLE

The Biergarten and the Grey Rock Grill are the gathering sites for all guests to the golf course. The interior of the grill features unique mesquite chairs and tables, a big fireplace with a seating area, a lovely bar as well as many wide-screen TVs. Broad oak trees and a stunning gable-covered flagstone exhibition area shade the teak tables and chairs at Biergarten.
